Kolarovo/Guta,Slovakia From 16-18 august 2008 we like to call it gathering, building up the site of the festival,creating decoration together,from the 20-24 august 2008 the artist camp is starting.....and form 24 to 26 we will clean up the place
The festival takes place at the beutiful half island on the oldriverbank of Danube, in the nature reserve place whit the watermil (only 2 in europe),and this is the main cause that it can not grow bigger... As we see it is the place where people gather to participate in a numerous workshops...to hear some interesting teachings about the good old tradicional ways...to shake it on the good vibes...ecology vs technology....early morning bread baking vs shoppin tescoooo...The standpoint of our small comunity is the everything that we stand behind its done whit our hands...from our own resources...the thougt to make a festival one day just sneaked to some off our friends thoughts and the next day we found ourselfs in the midle of creating something that those who have tastetsome off it each year come for more.. because we stand behid the idea of ecology and take care of today so we can have more tomorow....each year we try to do a litle bit more in the question of recycling (selective garbage bins etc.)...so if comming please find space in your bag for a plate, spoon and cup....to avoid unnecessary garbage problem...
This years line up is stil uder construction but aproximately inmay you can check our site to get more informations what would hapenthis year....which is by the way the fourth in the row that weorganise....what to expect...from funk,jazz,nuschool,reggae...to ambient...chill..from minimal..tribal...jungle beat to traditional etno music ....if you feel like bring drum ... didgeridooo... doromb ...gitar...flute..and join easy jamming early afternoon..painting in nature..recycling workshops....glas painting.... making sculptures from straw bale ..bread baking...silent cinema...jurta..pottery making...boating on the river...matinee..tale house.. So now comes the part wher we present you some of those fue thing in which we could use an extra pair of hands: -puting up the tents(big military type of tents)-bread baking -ticket sale at the entrance (2 entrance)-checking tickets on peoples wrists-cooking(chop,peel,season,stir...)-making - creating decorations-makin garbage hot spots-colecting garbage-working or hellping in the bar-buiding up the VJ benches/rails-bringing the firewood and wather to the chill area or where needed www.hannafest.com
