Project: Organized together with Experiment Chile and “El Grillo” Ranch (Recreational & educational centre) where agricultural, recreational, cattle ranching, cultural tourism and social- educational projects are developed for the community in order to help them improve their understanding of the outdoors, nature and environment., the project is about the implementation and building of an Educational Farm meant to be used by the public schools and the local community (about 4000 people) for free.
The main idea is to use the educational farm not only to educate people but also to have a cultural space where children can learn about animals (care and well being) and the different products we can get from them.
Work: The volunteers will: Build the pedagogical farm (cages, fences, signals and tracks). Develop bilingual informative material about the animals. Translate from Spanish to English or other languages available. Develop interactive workshops about animal knowledge (through games and dynamic activities) and finally teach English through the work in the farm.
Accommodation: Full board and lodging (shared rooms) at “El Grillo” Ranch itself.
Language: Spanish (communicational) – English (translation, teaching and to communicate with the local coordinator.
Qualifications: Volunteers between 18 and 50, responsible, flexible, easy to adapt, work in teams, proactive and sociable. People who like teaching and working with children are all
