PROJECT: After several successful workcamps in the last years, the local host invites again an international group! They are very happy to be supported by a workcamp in their projects and looking forwards to celebrating the local festival together with you!
WORK: This year they have planned three main tasks for you. Firstly, you will establish a walking path along the river Kinzig. This path will lead from the local senior house to the centre of the village. This work can be hard and you should bring working clothes and sturdy boots with you! Secondly, there are different environmental tasks waiting for you such as cleaning and improving of the green areas around Willstaett. Furthermore you will be involved in a preparation of the folk festival called “Willstaetter Jahrmarkt” which will take place from 13th - 15th of September. You will maintain gardens, power distribution and attach lights as well as participate in the festival and enjoy local music, dance and culinary. You will have the chance to meet local people and exchange cultural aspects.
ACCOMMODATION: will be in a generous building of the fire brigade with all sanitary facilities provided. Kitchen and beds are in place as well.
LOCATION: The community of Willstaett contains several villages with all in all around 9000 inhabitants. It is situated in the beautiful southern part of Germany close to the border to France. It is characterised by its beautiful architectural style. There is also a lot to see and discover in the landscape close to the black forest with its spectacular sights (waterfalls, castles…). Close bigger cities like Freiburg or Strasbourg offer a wide range of cultural events.
