PROJECT: The village of Zaberfeld would like to welcome international volunteers for the first time! Our local partner is the municipality. Here are various tasks for you to do which requires from you flexibility and the motivation to work outside!
WORK: The volunteers will help in three main projects: Firstly, there is a hiking trail that connects two districts of Zaberfeld. Currently it is in a bad condition and mainly elderly people are not able to use it anymore. It will be your first task to renovate it! Then, the playgrounds of Zaberfeld need your help. You will remove plants, exchange sand and set up new playground equipment. Finally, you will do some maintenance work on restored grasslands, e.g. cutting trees and hedges.

LOCATION: Zaberfeld is a village with about 4 000 inhabitants, located in the South of Germany, about 50km from Stuttgart. The landscape is one of hills and green valleys, being a nice area for hiking. Zaberfeld is famous for its water reservoir Ehmetsklinge, the largest one of Zaberfeld’s three lakes, in which you can also go swimming in summer or just enjoy the 6,5 km walk around it. Besides Stuttgart (Baden-Wurttemberg’s capital), you can also visit Heilbronn, a worth-seeing town with more than 100 000 inhabitants. It is in only 30km away from Zaberfeld (one hour by public transportation).
