Descripción:
Under the supervision of local technical agents, you work on the rehabilitation (cutting logs - clearing - digging in) of hiking paths and you will also road mark. You will participate in the opening of a footpath. You will work 5 days a week in the morning, 5 hours a day.
You will stay in the municipal House for Everyone. We will provide you mattresses and so you will have to bring your sleeping bag and eventually a pillow. You will cook in a kitchen area of the House; there are refrigerator and cook; dishes and kitchenware will be provided. For the lunch, you will eat at the canteen with the young people of the youth center. We cannot take care of you if you arrive before the starting date of the project. Located on the right side of the Seine at 38 km from Paris, Juziers is a city-door of the natural regional park of the Vexin. This park spreads over 66 000 hectares and gather 99 municipalities with the goal to preserve the natural environment, to rehabilitate the built heritage and to develop the agriculture in the respect of the environment. Possible free time activities (you can organize them with the camp leader, some activities could be at your charge): visits, excursions, barbecues, international evening, hikes in the forest...
No transport will be organized by the organization at the end of the camp. To be organized with the camp leader during your stay. 2) No vehicle (car, minibus) will be provided to the volunteers 3) European and non European, in any case, BRING YOUR INSURANCE CERTIFICATE (in case of health issue, you will have to pay your own fees and get reimbursed once in your country). 4) Don t forget to bring a sleeping bag, warm clothes (sweaters and rain coat in case) and a swimming suit. (For male volunteers: in France, swimming pants are FORBIDDEN in swimming pools, so please bring a normal swimwear. 5) For work: worn out and protective clothes and strong shoes. 6) Your games, songbooks, cassettes, musical instruments and recipes will be also welcome To make exchanges and meetings easier, please also bring photos of your home, some postcards, small gifts. 7) All info for transportation on www.voyages-sncf.com. NB : if you have a driving licence or a student card please bring it with you in case of necessity.
