Project: The Cultural Heritage and Traditions association of the town of Beaumont is very familiar with the spirit and dynamism of international workcamps. This small community welcomed a group of volunteers last year who restored the remains of a building adjacent to the chapel of La Madeleine, listed as historical monument of France. Work: This year, volunteers will take up the restoration of the building's facades adjacent to those of the chapel. The project will consist of putting the principal facades of the building in good repair by staking the joints and then by the addition of lime joints. The volunteers will acquire traditional masonry techniques. Leisure activities: The community of the towns of Val Vert du Clain and the Cultural Heritage and Traditions association are coming together to propose a program of activities to volunteers that aim to immerse them in local life: meeting up with local associations, the discovery of local cultural heritage (La Rochelle, the Futuroscope...), the discovery of the town's culinary heritage, making connections with local youths, taking part in the national celebration of the 14th of July.
