Projet : Le Pont de Montvert is in the heart of the Parc National des Cvennes. A small village built from the stone of Mont Lozre at an altitude of 900 meters and at the crossroad of three rivers, Pont de Montvert knew just how to maintain the traditional and architectural characteristics of the region. This year, the community wants to put their small but important cultural heritage back on the map, starting with the renovation of a fountain and the development of a natural area by the banks of the river. Moreover, a local association organizes the festival of Mtiers d'Art (Craftsmanship) every summer, http://www.festival-metiersdartencevennes.org. This event, which takes place the 11th, 12th, and 13th of July, brings together more than 70 European artists in the streets of Pont de Montvert. Exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations of skills, and shows make up the program. L'AMAC (Craftsmanship Association of Cvennes) proposes that you participate in the running of this festival and in so doing you can rub shoulders with the artists. Work: You will contribute to the organization of the festival: in the time leading up to the festival you will support the volunteers of l'AMAC in the preparation of the town. During the festival, you will inquire about the artisans retailers, and festival-goers. At the end of the festival, you will participate in the cleaning-up of the village. The second week will be focused on the restoration of the fountain, located in the center of the village, and on the improvement of of an outdoor space by adding tables and benches and clearing and cleaning out the space. Leisure activities: You can spend your free time discovering the natural charms (waterfall of Rnes, pathways of menhirs (free-standing stones...) and the local traditions of Cvennes of Mont Lozre, bathing in the Tarn, hiking, taking part in local events...
