Volunteers will help on several aspects of the festival logistics, such as assembling and dismantling of tents, building and putting up the decorations, stage-managing, transport and unloading of material, installation of the village of organisations and the catering area. Volunteers will work with all people working on the festival (technicians, stage managers, facilitators, organizers,...). They will also be integrated in the different teams during the festival (tickets, bar, catering, stage-managing,...) which will take place from August 22nd to August 25th 2013. Physical work will be asked to volunteers so it is important to take this into account. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to organize an activity in the heart of the festival.
Volunteers will sleep in caravans on the site of the festival. The living conditions are rudimentary Please bring your sleeping bag and sheets. Meals will be prepared together with the catering team of the festival.
Volunteers will be in the centre of Brussels, the capital of Belgium, at two steps of the Royal Palace. The site is easily reachable by public transport.
This workcamp requires physical efforts at some moments and a active participation and involvement of volunteers during 2 weeks, due to the deadlines set for the good progress of the festival. There will be only one free day per week Volunteers should then foresee some time before or after the workcamp if they want to visit many places in Belgium.During the 4 days of festival, volunteers will have the opportunity to set up an activity that will be included in the festival. If you have an musical instrument or juggling material, it will be welcome to contribute to the organization of the activityPlease bring good working shoes and clothes as well as a raincoat in case of rainy weather.A project-related motivation letter is required.
