THIS PROJECT…
Get a two-in-one experience of volunteering by participating in our solidarity volunteering project. You will discover two festivals:
- Chassepierre: the International Street Art and Performance Festival
- La Fête des Solidarités: a music festival, but not only that. It is also a fabulous “children’s city”, theater plays, movies, the presence 40 associations and NGOs and much more.
ACTIVITIES…
Chassepierre: you will prepare the artists’ dressing rooms, help construction crews, help direct the festival visitors, help move equipment, etc.
Solidarités: before and after the festival, you will help the construction/visibility/decoration crews. During the festival, you can enjoy the concerts.
TO THE POINT…
- Dates: 16-28 Augustus 2018 (this year) – next available in 2019
Volunteers need to be at the festival Chassepierre on the 17th at 11 am but they can arrive on the 16th. Then, they will leave on the 20th to go to Solidarités until the 28th.
- Type: music and street art festival
- Max volunteers: 5 volunteers / Volunteers must be at least 18 years old when the project starts.
- Accommodation: You will be hosted in rooms in a lodge and a boarding school. Bring a sleeping bag.
- Working language: Able to communicate in French or English
TO KNOW…
- Food: Almost all the meals are provided. Make sure you have a small budget for breakfast at la fête des Solidarités.
- Clothing: Boots or hiking shoes (you might not want to take nice shoes because you might get VERY dirty). Do not forget, everything will take place outside. Work clothes (for the construction work), and comfortable clothes (for the festival). Summer clothes AND winter clothes because it can get warm or cold! Volunteers need to bring clothes that dry fast because if you get wet, you might have to change clothes several times a day. If you think about bringing clothes that dry fast, you will not end up with only wet clothes left.
