This project has the objective to support the characterization of cultural, and tourist goods of the municipalities of the Northern Valle del Cauca, especially the BRUTZ that is a Colombia region. In the current problems of the municipalities of the North of “Valle del Cauca”, there is an evidence of ignorance and lack of appropriation of touristic attractions, as well as cultural goods; which causes a high risk to the local community that foreign companies take advantage of the economic and cultural benefits that various attractions could offer for the benefit of locals instead.
This project is organized by the University of del Valle in Colombia.
The activities that will have place during the project are:
-Design of a sustainable tourist route according to the benefits of cultural and tourism offered by the BRUTZ region, Valle del Cauca, Colombia.
-Development of a tourism cluster in alliance with CORTUROLDANILLO (is a local company that addresses the topic) where different economic sectors are used for receptive tourism.
-Support logistically training and advice to different institutions of the BRUTZ region, as well as the community, about the sustainable use of different cultural assets.
