Work: Teaming up with a Korean volunteer, you are asked to U. - Take care of children while they are in the center.(Give your hands to hard working teacher at center) - Prepare and run English class. (23 classes a day) : Teaching English to primary school students and middle school students will be your main task. Their level of English is mostly basic except some of middle school students. So they are lack of confidence and interest in English. However, children started to be closed with English, thanks to foreign volunteers from last November. You will be a good present for them. and 61514; If you have any special skill, you can also lead activity class with children. (Music, drawing,,)Sometimes, you are asked to join weekend activities with children on Saturday; go to the cinema, mountain. Volunteers work from Monday to Friday (from 2 to 9 pm, mostly).Teaching Information:-Age and Number of students: 8 to 16 years old and 10 to30 children at an LCC-Number of Teachers: 1 to 3 teachersProject: The Local Children Center operates by local church. The center has many children who are growing up in families with one parent, or grandparents. The center provides children not only a shelter so that children could protect them until their parents come but also educational and cultural opportunities so that children can open up a door to a new experience. Most of them have fewer opportunities meeting foreigners, so with the help of international volunteers, the local children can experience global awareness while volunteers can feel the warmth and kindness of this rural Korean community.Yeongwol gun is surrounded by mountains and long river. ItU s farming and nature area. There are many working parents till late at night under the poor economical condition. Due to the reason, the local youth do not have many opportunities to be involved with international people. In this respect, this project will play an important role in bringing a taste of international culture to the local children and people. The center rebuilt from old school and now it has enough facilities to care of many children as an after school. There is a big play ground, kitchen, classroom and big volunteersU room designed by professional.
