The volunteers will be assisting in organisation of two children s camp. The volunteers will work as camp instructors, kitchen assistants for the camp cook and as general helpers in order to help run two five day children s camps in Tuusula. Children s camp program includes arts and crafts, outing in the nature, sports and games. We hope that as a camp-leader you are enthusiastic, happy and creative Various summer activities such as swimming, playing games, exploring local sights and fishing are possible.
Accommodation for volunteers will be in the house by the lakeside. Volunteers eat breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner with the children. During the break between the two camps volunteers can cook together in the house. In the camp area the local host has many dogs so the volunteers cannot have any animal allergies.
Tuusula is located in Southern Finland. It belongs to the Helsinki sub-region and has a population of circa 37,000.
Accepted volunteers will need to provide a certificate of good conduct (criminal record sheet) in English one month before the beginning of the camp and bring the original with them. The volunteers need travel insurance for the duration of their stay.
