Aukusti Festival is a small local rock festival that gathers about 3000-4000 people to a small municipality of Jalasjarvi in August. This year the festival is being held for its 14th time on 15th-16th of August. International volunteers will take part in organising this event. Our goal is to build the festival, mostly simple but sometimes hard work such as building fences and tents. The first week will mostly consist of building and setting up, and the week after the festival we ll clean everything up and wrap up. Be prepared for physical work in all weather conditions.
Accommodation will be just a few hundred meters away from the festival area, at a Youth Center Wilhola. The volunteers will take turns to prepare food, and also be prepared to introduce a dish from your country
Jalasjarvi is a small municipality of 8000 people. The nearest town is Seinajoki, about 30km away and the distance to Helsinki is about 300 kilometers.
The volunteers need travel insurance for the duration of their stay
