Descripción:
The volunteers will be working outdoors to maintain and repair the traditional landscape and park surroundings the Anjala Mansion. The volunteers will also have chance to plan and organize activities for children who are in Anjala for a summer camp. The goal is to increase multicultural activity in Anjala and its community.
The accommodation is in shared apartments of youth center. Each apartment has 4 bedrooms, joined kitchen and living room and a shared bathroom. Girls and boys have separate accommodations. The volunteers will have their breakfast, lunch and dinner in the youth centre with summer camp children and youth. Special diets must be reported beforehand.
TheYouth Centre is situated in the municipality of Kouvola in a small village of Anjala by the Kymi river. The distance from the town centre to Anjala is about 25km. The old Anjala mannor around which the volunteers shall be working is near the youth centre. Nearest shops and bus station are 1km away.
Volunteer must bring working clothes for outdoors that can get dirty(long trousers, good shoes, warm shirt) and have a travel insurance for the duration of their stay.
