Descripción:
The work is mainly maintenance work, it is done in the area of youth centre Piispala and mainly outdoors. The tasks during the work camp includes cleaning the environment, small renovation/freshening up itasks in buildings or in the area, gardening/planting etc. Piispala is one of a network of ten national youth centres in Finland. One of the main goals of Piispala is to maintain the development of the local, national and international youth work and to serve as a multi-sided centre of sports activities and education. The centre is well equipped for practicing various kinds of sports and handcrafts.
Accommodation will be in rooms or cottages. Meals will be arranged by Piispala: the camp participants have the possibility to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet in Piispala canteen. Evening snacks / necessaries for evening snacks will also be provided.
Piispala is situated in northern Central Finland, 7km from the village of Kannonkoski. In Kannonkoski there are 1 600 inhabitants. The nearest towns are Saarijarvi and Viitasaari (with about 8 000 inhabitants), both about 40 km from Piispala. The nearest bigger city is Jyvaskyla, 105 km from Piispala.
