Descripción:
The camp is arranged in an old wooden house in an island in front of Helsinki. The volunteers will do landscaping and maintenance work in the house and around it. The work will be physical work such as gardening, planting and tidying up so the yard can be better used for leisure activities. The theme of the camp is nature, forest and intercultural learning so it is a very important all the volunteers should be prepared to tell about their home countries and be interested about working in the nature.
Accommodation will be partly in the house which is owned by the city youth office and in tents on the yard. The volunteers will take turns so everybody can sleep both in the house and in tents. Volunteers should bring with them either a sleeping bag or bed sheets. The volunteers will cook their meals in turns.
Helsinki is the capital of Finland.
There is an extra fee of 100 euros. The volunteers need to take a travel insurance for the duration of their stay. The sleeping will be partly in tents so bring your own sleeping bag and matrass.
