Descripción:
The aim of the camp is to organize playing activities for children at a local large playground and perform puppet theatre shows for them. Part of the work is also assisting children with disabilities who live in institutions, to walk. The volunteers may also assist in environmental work around the park and help remove invasive species of weed such as Impatiens glandulifera (better known in English as Himalayan Balsam ).
Volunteers will eat and dine a community centre called Vainola which is well equipped for accommodation and cooking.
Pori city and municipality is located on the west coast of Finland. Population being circa 83,00. Pori is the 11th largest city in Finland with 120km to Tampere and 140km to Turku. See www.pori.fi
The volunteers need to take a travel insurance for the duration of their stay.
