Following a first session in July which worked on rebuilding the washhouse, a second session will take place in order to revitalize the place.
You will participate in giving the washhouse access to water again, in cleaning the retention basin and in construction of stairs to better access the site.
You will be accommodated in tents in pairs, boys and girls separately (bring your own sleeping bag). You will have access to cooking facilities. Volunteers will share the different collective tasks and prepare the meals together. The budget will be allocated to the group leaders; volunteers will participate in the grocery shopping and in the preparation of meals, using healthy and local products when possible.
Listrac-de-Durèze is a municipality in the south-west of France, located in the department of Gironde. You will find several walking trails that cross the different monuments of the region and places where you can taste local products. Due to its proximity to Bordeaux, you can seize the opportunity to visit this beautiful city. Trips to the ocean are also possible.
Bring a warm sleeping bag, some work clothes, comfortable walking shoes, warm clothing and rain gear, a flashlight, a swimsuit and sunscreen.
If you want to, you can also bring musical instruments, recipes, games and/or specialties from your region or country.
