WORK: Led by the set directors of the association organising the festival, you will participate in setting up and setting donw the festival. This includes the installation of circus tents (where concerts take place), close the site with barriers, arrangement of parking lots, dressing rooms, refreshment stands and restaurants ...Planning of the Caravane de Couvre Feu : Monday 8th August arrival of the volunteers, Tuesday 9th August is rest ; on the 10th, 11th and 12th August will be the installation of the festival in St Brévin, bringing up of the big tents for the shows (marquees) ; on the 13th, 14th and 15th August work in the festival on various spots (hosting of visitors, etc.) ; on the 16th, 17th and 18th August bringing down of the installation in St Brévin and installation of the festival in Frossay, on the 19th, 20th and 21th August work in the festival on various spots (hosting of visitors, etc.) ; bringing down of the installation in Frossay on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th August, departure of the volunteers on 25th August. Note: tasks a little repetitive but essential, good physical condition required, the organisers of the Caravan are counting on your motivation to help before, during and after the festival but also, work schedules will VARY A LOT according to needs; little time for leisure but the atmosphere is very festive. Volunteers from this site must be especially dynamic and enthusiastic. And of course must be a fan of music! |
ACCOMODATION: On your arrival, you will stay as all the other volunteers and organisers at the camping site in St Brévin from 8th to 10th August, and then in Frossay from the 10th of August. Toilets and showers on site. The association provides tents, but you will need to bring a warm sleeping bag and confortable mattress (it can be a karimat or inflatable mattress). Throughout the duration of work, preparing meals will be provided by volunteers from the association (except on the 9th August, you will receive money to buy the food on you own). NB : it can be cold in the evening and humid, it is advisable to bring warm clothes.

LOCATION: Pays de Retz: At the heart of unspoiled landscapes and varied hyphen between Brittany and the Vendee, west of Nantes and bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and the Loire. Enjoying the beach and water sports, beach resorts, charming as Pornic and Saint-Brevin-les-Pins, large sandy beaches dotted with fishing. Walks along the coastal footpath in Bourgneuf Bay, along the Loire estuary, or in swamps and thickets of the hinterland.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 2 / - Remember to bring a warm sleeping bag, warm clothing (a sweater and a raincoat), a bathing suit see above for other recommendations. For work, pack old clothes and sturdy and closed footwear (sandals not valid for work). Extra fee to pay on arrival at the camp : 50€.
