Project : the Leucate Pond is a pond situated at the border to the Mediterranean sea. It has two sources of fresh water but is also connected to the sea by two channels. This sea-pond is maintained by different organisms like the syndicate RIVAGE which works for the protection of this particular biotope. Work: the work will consist in removing invasive plants that threaten the balance of the pond's biotope: the witch's claw. There will be visits and information meetings for participants in order to discover and be sensitized for this exceptional environment. Leisure activities: if you like the beach, this place will make you happy, as you can spend every free minute at the beach in walking distance. Other possible activities are hikes at the seaside, discovery of the local patrimony and the festival of patrimony, visit of an oyster farm, a trip to Perpignan or Narbonne... Accommodation: in tents on a municipality camp site. Location: Leucate is situated at 40km from Prepignan and 40 km from Narbonne, very close to the sea. Terminal: Vergze.
