Project : This project has been put in place by the association of the Centre of Beaumotte and the community of Cirey. The city council and the villagers themselves are very interested in the dynamic between the volunteers and workcamp and the young people in the heart of the community. Work: You will take part in the renovation of a wall that surrounds the village church, a local heritage site. The project focuses on rebuilding the surrounding wall of the cemetery (around 30 m in length). The entryway is the section of the wall most in need of repair and needs to be rebuilt almost from the ground up. The original wall, having suffered damages over the course of many years, will be dismantled. However the foundation is still in good condition and will be able to support the wall, which will be raised 2 m in height. Leisure activities: Afternoons will be devoted to the discovery of the region and to making connections with the local population. Notably you will be able to take part in many other cultural events. You will be able to visit numerous other small villages typical of the region located near Cirey. Swimming, games, and sports will be included in this experience which will be rich with cultural and social exchange. Accommodation: indoors, in a community building. You will sleep on camp-beds in a shared room. Bring your sleeping bag. Location: Cirey is located 30km from Besanon. Nearest train station: Besanon
