Project : Laguépie is a lovely village located in the department of Tarn-et-Garonne very closed to the beautiful Aveyron gorges. It hosts the association Citrus' activity site. This year, the municipality would like to restore various patrimonial elements thanks to the participation of an international group of volunteers.
Work : Three years ago Laguépie started a project with Citrus, which concerns the construction of a traditional bread oven near the river shore and the camp site. This is a good place to gather people around the fire to share bread, pizzas, recipes and stories... This workcamp will start with putting the finishing touches to this oven. Volunteers will have to install barriers to protect it and external furniture (picnic tables...). Work will also consist in restoring the cimetery wall and in installing safety barriers around a beautiful promontory located on the village's heights.
Leisure activities : Beside the working time you will have the opportunity to swim in the river, to hike on surrounding trails, to meet local people, organize pizza parties around a traditional bread oven, playing games, and to discover some beautiful medieval villages such as Najac, Cordes sur Ciel, Saint-Antonin Noble Val. You will have the opportunity tio share your culture with the local pupils and retirement home residents.
Accommodation : in tents on Citrus' site, with all available facilities. Bring your sleeping bag along.
