accomodation and food
You will be accommodated in tents on the stage. Showers and toilets in the locker room. Mattresses provided by our association. You will go workplaces walk (maximum 10 minutes) or by bus. Vichy is located 300 meters above sea level, IT IS indipensable Whether you plan A DOWN AND WARM CLOTHING, especially at night, when the daytime temperature may be high, the nights are cold. Prepare your meals in the locker room, a refrigerator and a stove will be at your disposal, as well as utensils and cutlery. There are shops in Vichy: supermarket, bakery, butcher, café-bar. Jeunesse et Reconstruction will not support the volunteers arrived before the start date of the project. Vichy is located on the Allier River, the main tributary of the Loire River, straddling the Bourbon and Bourbon Limagne mountain, at an altitude of 263 meters. Cited spa dating from Roman times. requirements
1/ At the beginning of the work camp: eco-responsibility workshop. Goal: implement eco-responsible acts and behaviours during your stay. You will introduce to the others volunteers, what is done in your home country. Bring some material about sustainable development and eco-responsability with you (documents, pictures...). 2/ Bring: sleeping bag AND extra blankets, warm clothes and rain-coat, bathing suit (for male: short pants prohibited in the public swimming pools, please bring a bathing suit). For work: worn out clothes, safety shoes/boots compulsory. Others: games, songbooks, cassettes, musical instruments and recipes also welcome! To make exchanges and encounters easier, please also bring photographs of your home, some postcards, and small gifts. If you have a driving licence, please bring it along in case of necessity. – 3/ Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card, for the refunding of medical expenses in your country). – 4/ At the end of the work camp, no transportation will be organized by our association. You will then have to arrange your own means of transport to return to the train station. – 5/ Our association does not provide a car during the work camp.
