Description: EKPAZ is the biggest Center for the Protection of Wild Animals in Balkans. It is located on the island of Aigina (1 hour from Athens by boat). There is a small hospital clinic as well as a boutique for visitors who come throughout the year to see and take information on the large variety of wild animals.
Work: The volunteers have to be motivated to work. They will clean the nests and cages, they will feed the animals and they will participate in any restoration works. Volunteers work 5-6 hours /day. (They have one day off per week).
Free time: They can visit the archeological site on the island and discover also the Greek capital Athens. There is frequent ferry-boat connection to Piraeus port every one hour. There are plenty of bars, coffee shops and internet corners at the town of Aigina.
Lodging: The volunteers will stay in the guest rooms of the center. Showers and toilets provided.
Meals : Volunteers have breakfast, lunch and dinner . Portions of meat/fish is on charge of volunteers after consultation with the Direction of the Center:
