Mysore, is the third largest city in terms of population in the state of Karnataka, India. Located 140 Kms from the state capital Bangalore-- Mysore is the erstwhile capital of Wodeyars, the rulers of Mysore state. Mysore has never failed to mesmerize the tourists with its quaint charm, rich heritage, magnificent palaces, beautifully laid-out gardens, imposing buildings, broad shady avenues and sacred temples. The charm leaves no one untouched. Dussehra, the festival of the victory of good over evil, is celebrated with unprecedented grandeur. Today Mysore is one of the major cities of Karnataka. Mysore has emerged as a thriving market for exotic sandalwood & incense, the Mysore silk sarees and stone carved sculptures.
The Camp;
The camp is to understand the Natural resource management (NRM), and how it enhance the livelihood of the farmers, landless laborers and contribute to the development of tribal community. FSL India will organize the camp with local NGOs, school Management and the Tribal and farming community.
Activities:
•Visiting and Interaction with the expert on the NRM(Natural Resource Management) systems, repairing farm pond, assisting farmers in desilting of check dam and tree plantation
•Visiting tribal families to discuss on local economy and development issues and create awareness on Health and Hygiene and water and sanitation
•Visit tribal school, interact with the children and do wall painting and educational pictures
Leisure Activities:
•Visit to cultural , Historical and religious sites
• Intercultural exchange with tribal community

•Mysore is about 140 kilometers from Bangalore and the project village is at 40 km from Mysore
