Imabari

1. Summary: Let's create great moment for kids in a small city beside the ocean!
2. Background: Organized together with local group for International workcamp in Imabari since 2015. Imabari
city is depopulated area and they doesn’t have much chance to have an international interact,
which is important for kids growth to understand cultural diversity. Through this workcamp they
hope that volunteer can activate local kids, people and community.
3. Work: Organize international exchange program for local kids. Also we go to the sea and take care of
kids to swim, picking garbage in beach.
4. Accommodation: Kindergarten and Local community center(we need to move). Meals will be cooked by
volunteers by turns. Sleeing bag is necessary.
5. Study theme: Volunteers will get knowledge of good ways of interaction with kids.
6. Other activities: Cycling in Shimanami kaido, and join local firework festival, etc
7. Location: Imabari city, Ehime prefecture. About 300 km south west of Osaka. Near Seto Island sea.
8. Terminal: Matusyama. From there, it will take 1 hour by train. You can also come from Kansai international
airport in Osaka (7-8 hours by bus) or Takamatsu airport in Kagawa (2hours by train).
9. Requirement: Positive attitude to communicate with kids.
10. Participation fee: No fee
