Hagi

Organized together with Abugawagenryu work and study camp (AWSC) since 2011. Hagi is a tourist
destination old town remains as a castle town. In spite of the town’s wonderful local heritage and coal pit
history, depopulation is a serious problem here similarly with many other parts of the country side in
Japan. AWSC try to activate the local community base at the closed school. We aim to support the
activities and bring the global power for the community.
W: We will mainly work maintain a closed elementary school such as conservation the forest and
setting up the library. We will visit the local elderly facility to have the exchange program. They try to
invite the family and Kids, sometimes we join the family and Kids program.
