2-PLACE: Fez (is the second largest city of Morocco, with a population of 1.1 million (2014).
Fez was the capital city of modern Morocco until 1925 and is now the capital of the Fes-Meknes administrative region. The city has two old medina quarters, the larger of which is Fes el Bali, It is listed as a World Heritage Site.and is believed to be one of the world's largest urban (car-free areas) in the world.
University of Al Quaraouiyine , founded in 859, is the oldest continuously functioning Mederssa in the world. The city has been called the “Mecca” of the West" and the “Athens” of Africa Fes is a city of central Morocco, located 180 km east of Rabat between the Rif and the Middle Atlas. As one of the imperial cities of Morocco, it was several times the country's capital and is regarded today as the spiritual capital. It was founded at the end of the century viii under the reign of Moulay Idriss 1st. His past international influence in fact one of the capitals of Muslim civilization along with Damascus, Tunis, Baghdad, Cordoba, Istanbul, Jerusalem or Isfahan Fès spans three areas: the old city (Medina), classified L`UNESCO the World Heritage, the Royal enclosure and the new districts established by the French, and extending nowadays in the surrounding plain.
Administratively, the city is composed of the municipality of Fez (divided into six districts) and the City of Fez Jdid Méchouar (wherethe palace is located). Fez is the second largest city in Morocco with a population of 1,112,072 inhabitants according to the census of 2014.

Activities: On Saturday and Sunday the volunteers organize trips to places in the city and around , other trips to Fes and Imouzzer . Musical and artistic evenings are organized in collaboration with local communities
