PROJECT DETAILS: VIMEX and Fundación Mi Regalo es Darte Conocimiento, AC unite to bring a very interesting project due to as accelerated urbanization in Mexico City, because the students do not know experientially as achieved get food as well as the reduction of green areas in any part of the city, children and young people do not value the life of plants with their participation in the cool nature where they are, so we want through school vegetable can grow vegetables and create an urban sustainability.
The goal is to promote the necessary knowledge to perform to carry through greening the school aimed at growing vegetables and urban sustainability.
WORK: Objective: to organize the preparation to close the event of the season for the workshops. It will be a competition to reward “the best vegetable” and the interest is to monitor and measure the impact of the workshops in schools, finally the event promotion and recognition of the project and the work of the year.
The volunteers will do different activities: Development and objectives workcamp (2 weeks); preparation of the event logistics; preparation of animation (discussion, cultural, ...) to present in the event; event promotion and communication at the local level (with the population, the media, conducting an interview, social networks, etc.). and finally, cooperative work to prepare (with local people, schools).
ACCOMMODATION: It will be in a house with services
FOOD: The volunteers will prepare their food.
LANGUAGE: Spanish (40% ore more) will be welcome in order to be able to realize the activities.
LOCATION: Atizapan, Mexico StateREQUIREMENTS: People interested in the environment and in the field of horticulture.
