The meeting point will be at the VIMEX office before the camp starts because all the volunteers will go together to the project.

Participation Fee: $3000 mexican pesos, it includes food, accommodation and administration costs.

PROJECT DETAILS:  :  The project is developed in cooperation with the Municipality of Tepoztlán, VIMEX AC and Union Tepuztécatl AC association is integrated by the youth in the municipality aimed at the involvement of anyone who wants and wishes activation of the community of Tepoztlan through cultural, sports and economic activities.

Objectives: To coordinate the efforts of young people and the community in the quest of Tepoztecan concrete social problems around the town through the promotion, execution and display of all kinds of sports, cultural and social activities.

WORK:

  1. Activities developed with students from elementary, middle and high schools.
  2. Participation in the organization and implementation of the corresponding festivities of the Virgin Nativity.
  3. Working in communities with the population.
  4. Food processing and living with local families.
  5.  Developing Arco Seed: In coordinated with traders work is done in the decoration and seed stuck to the bow of the celebrations of the Virgin of the Nativity.

6.  Visit a workshop for making clay figures, volunteers may draw different shapes with local management and             manufacturing techniques.

LOCATION: Tepoztlán, Morelos. Is situated one hour and fifteen minutes from Mexico City.

ACCOMODATION: The lodging will be in a communitary home with basic services, the volunteers will clean the house.

FOOD:  Food will be prepared by the volunteers or the people from the community.

LANGUAGE: Basic Spanish to keep in touch with the community.

REQUIREMENTS: Good disposal to work in teams, dedication, responsibility for working with farm animals and coexistence in general. Bring your own life insurance and appropriate clothing for sports and physical activities.

HOW TO ARRIVE: Central Trucking Pullman buses in Tepoztlan

FREE TIME: Visits of interesting place in the area such as Chichinautzin, the pyramid at the Tepozteco National Park and visits to other municipalities such as Tlayacapan and Xochitepec. Activities like sports, music and dance through interaction with the population.
