Descripción:
Morelia city is located in the center of Mexico, it is very well connected by bus and it’s located very close to big cities such as Mexico City (3 hours), Guadalajara city (3.5 hours), Guanajuato City (2 hours).
Volunteers will participate in the organization of different workshops to awake the consciousness among children about being responsible entrepreneurs and motivating them to build and shape a life project having clear goals and to encourage them to continue studying. The will have the mission of motivating and encouraging children to discover all their potential. They will also carry out some tasks of reforestation in the surroundings to awake the conscience within the population about preserving the environment.
Volunteers will be hosted in a private house with all facilities at disposal: kitchen, hot water, etc. there are no beds, please bring a sleeping bag and air mat. Volunteers will be responsible to cook (please bring snacks and typical recipes from your country to share with the other volunteers!). It is possible to cook vegetarian food (in case you don’t eat meat).
There are many possibilities to organize leisure activities in Morelia http://www.moreliainvita.com/ and close to the city. Morelia it’s a 500 year old city and it is a very famous cultural place of Mexico, its well know by its history dated from the Mexico Independence and colony, Morelia is catalogued as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO and it’s a city that has many cultural activities such as cinema, theater, music, night clubs, expositions and festivals. It is also very easy also to organize a weekend at the beach since it is 3 hours away from the pacific coast and also Morelia its very close to other beautiful places such magic towns like Patzcuaro http://www.patzcuaro.com/ , beautiful lakes such as Zirahuen http://www.zirahuen.com/forest/ as well as natural reserves and other colonial cities such as Guanajuato http://www.guanajuatocapital.com/ingles/index.html
