Ciudad Chemuyil is located at Solidaridad Municipality at the Carribean in Mexico 50 kms from Cancun City.
Volunteers will participate in manual activities; they will participate in workshops to create handcrafts using recycled materials, reading and dance workshops, small circles of conversation in different languages and also in sports activities (football, volley ball, beach volley ball).
Volunteers will be hosted in a private house with all facilities at disposal: kitchen, bathroom, showers. There are no beds, so please bring a sleeping bag and air mattress.
The area surrounding Ciudad Chemuyil offers a really big number of activities it is very close to a wonderful place called Playa del Carmen a really nice beach town with all facilities http://www.cancun.com/Playa_del_Carmen/ Cancun city is also very close and it’s very famous for its vibrating night life style. There are many night clubs in Cancun such as Cocobongo http://www.cocobongo.com.mx/home.php?Lenguaje=en as well as other cultural and leisure places such as cinema, restaurants, swim with dolphins, and nice tours by the islands such as Isla Mujeres http://www.isla-mujeres.net/home.htm , it is also possible to visit Natural parks such as Xel Ha http://es.xelha.com/ or Mayan Ruins such as Chichen Itza http://www.chichen.com.mx/ and Tulum http://turismo.tulum.gob.mx/ it is also possible to travel to Belize for a weekend.
