Descripción:
La Piedad town is located in the center of Mexico, in Michoacan state. The town is connected by bus and its located very close to big cities such as Mexico City (4 hours), Leon City (1,5 hours) or Morelia (1,5 hours)
International volunteers will realize different activities:
-Organizing the fest (planning and distribution of the activities)
-Event logistics such as: access, information and supporting.
-Incoming facilitator of the visits.
-Organizing the cultural performances.
Volunteers will be hosted in a private house with all facilities at disposal: kitchen, hot water, etc. There are no beds, so please bring a sleeping bag and air mat.
There are some possibilities to organize leisure activities around La Piedad. You can visit the archaeological Zone “Zaragoza” and “Plazuelas”. If you like to discover how is the production of the tequila, you can go to “Hacienda Tequila Corralejo” this ranch produces of one of the most representative and original tequilas in Mexico “Tequila Corralejo” or visit the Altos Jalisco a producer zone of Tequila.
