Morelia city is located in the center of Mexico, it is very well connected by bus and it’s located very close to big cities such as Mexico City (3 hours), Guadalajara city (3.5 hours), Guanajuato City (2 hours).
The group of international volunteers will participate in the activities to prepare the I.Y.C.E. Mexico 2014 and also will help in the facilitation of the event, the activities will include (but are not limited to)
Helping the preparation of the spaces that will be needed in the I.Y.C.E. Mexico 2014
Helping in the co-ordination of the practical activities of the international forum
Participation in the hands-on activities of the I.Y.C.E. Mexico 2014
For this project we are asking for youngsters that
Have experience in playing and setting up cultural activities (play instruments, painting, theater, etc).
Have interest to participate (or co-ordinate!) quick sport tournaments.
Are interested to participate in reforestation activities to improve the environment.
Are interested to make hundreds of new friends from all over the world.
Volunteers will be hosted in a big community center with all facilities at disposal. Food will be provided. Please bring your sleeping bag.
There are many possibilities to organize leisure activities in Morelia http://www.moreliainvita.com/ and close to the city. Morelia it’s a 500 year old city and it is a very famous cultural place of Mexico, its well known by its history dated from the Mexico Independence and colony, Morelia is catalogued as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO and it’s a city that has many cultural activities such as cinema, theater, music, night clubs, expositions and festivals. It is also very easy also to organize a weekend at the beach since it is 3 hours away from the pacific coast and also Morelia its very close to other beautiful places such as magic towns like Patzcuaro http://www.patzcuaro.com/ , beautiful lakes such as Zirahuen http://www.zirahuen.com/forest/ as well as natural reserves and other colonial cities such as Guanajuato http://www.guanajuatocapital.com/ingles/index.html

The biggest closest international airport is in Mexico City, the city of Morelia also has an international airport.
