PROJECT: The people from Coatzacoalcos, are very excited to welcome volunteers to join efforts to organize a campaign to promote values ??with residents, student community, local media and public charities. The aim of this project is to unite efforts to sensitize the general public on issues of sustainability, values, gender equality and promote community service, to achieve a change of consciousness in people participating in the project, and also receive information from the working teams of volunteers to generate positive attitudes and promote the care for our planet.
ACTIVITIES: Based on a local university in Coatzacoalcos, volunteers will develop various activities such as:
1. To promote and encourage gender equality workshops among the students.
2. To produce a promotional video for the campaign to disseminate the message with the community.
3. To visit schools, nursing homes, animal protection associations among others, to promote a campaign of values ??with local residents and the students.
4. To spread a campaign of values ??in the local media.
5. To participate in reforestation, recycling and talks on environmental protection.
6. To visit nearby beaches.
7. To organize a multicultural party.
HOSTING: Private house that volunteers will share with all basic services, showers, kitchen, hot water.
LOCATION: Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico is a city and one of the largest ports in the south of Mexico, full of history, tradition and culture that combines ancient and modern, in a landscape of permanent sunshine, beaches and business activities.
LEISURE ACTIVITIES: In their free time, volunteers can visit the Lake of Catemaco, Sontecomapan’s lagoon, Huazuntlan’s waterfalls, La Venta’s museum, Coatzacoalcos beach, Malecon, Barillas, Montepio, plazas and malls. Volunteers can also undertake camping, cycling and water activities

SPECIAL NOTES: For volunteers who are interested to learn Spanish, there will be a Spanish course organized before the project starts, it will be organized in the city of Morelia. Cost: 110 Euros. It includes lodging for 7 days at a Youth Hostel in Morelia city, materials, theory and practice activities for 15 hours with a professional teacher. (Meals are not included).
