PROJECT
This project is organized by Axkan foundation, and the main objective is to raise the level of education of children in rural populations by support children from low-income communities and provide them with ecological and cultural education. As well as generating in them a sense of ecological responsibility and respect for the environment and raise awareness about sustainability issues.
WORK
The next activities will be carried out with the children:
-Painting
-Music
-Craft workshops
-Talks and storytelling
These activities will be implemented through playful teaching systems.
SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS
By participating in this project, you will acquire the global skills of Adaptability, Global Awareness, Strategic Thinking and Collaborative Planning, after the participation in the project volunteers will receive an official letter certifying these skills.
ACCOMMODATION
Volunteers will be hosted in a private house in with all facilities at their disposal namely, private bathroom, hot water, kitchen, security, internet. Food will be provided.
LOCATION
Puerto Aventuras is located 98 kilometers south of Cancun in the state of Quitana Roo. The complex is built along the beach and around a large sports complex. It is 20 minutes south of Playa del Carmen which is one of the most important tourist development areas with a diversity of attractions.

LEISURE TIME
In Puerto Aventuras, there is a diversity of natural attractions and beautiful beaches, as well as different activities that take place in the city that is a well-known as a place for tourists that enjoy the coasts. In “playa del Carmen” that is 20 minutes away, you can find coral reefs and the most visited Mexican beaches, along with the warm local community and the various food stalls and bars is one of the most important places for tourism in Mexico.
