Volunteers will work with Bademler Village Culture and Art Assossiation to raise awareness on intercultural dialog and solidarity. In this workcamp, the volunteers will build a walking trail and a running trail in order to support sports and healthy life, and place fitness equipments next to the trails they build where the public could do sports freely. The volunteers will assist professional workers throughout the workcamp. The walking trail and the running trail will be built in a timberland.
As every year, volunteers will accommodate with the hospitable and volunteer families in Bademler Village, and they will have healthy and homemade meals prepared by the families. The volunteers can take lunch boxes and bring them to the working area. 1 volunteer, 2, or 3 volunteers will be staying in one house. There will be room, restroom, and bathroom in the houses.
Bademler Village linked to İzmir which is located in the west region of Turkey and the third biggest city of the country, is one of the most interesting villages in Turkey with its culture and very typical traditions. It is 10 km to Urla, and 60 km to İzmir. The theatre hall of the village was built in 1969 and today, both the residents and the audience are quite interested in theatre. Throughout the day, the residents of the city work in farms and serums, but in the evenings most of them have become the actors on the theatre stage. There will be a festival during the workcamp in Bademler, and volunteers will have the chance to participate and enjoy. This village is also famous for its typical wedding ceremonies and the “Sea Festival” where the entire village goes to the seaside and spends 1 or 2 days under the tents.

Volunteers will learn how to prepare food for upcoming winter from villagers, participate in daily life of the villagers, and join to traditional village wedding ceremonies. In their free time, volunteers will have the chance to visit cultural and natural beauties of Bademler Village.
