Mersin and Mezitli are one of the cities and districts densely preferred by the refugees coming to Turkey to shelter due to the Syrian Civil War. In this coastal Mediterranean region where many cultures and communities live together and full of palm trees, there are a lot of natural and historical heritage belong to Ancient Rome and Hellenistic Period. “Productive Woman Bazaars Project” implemented by Mezitli Municipality of Mersin came in the first place in Guangzhou International Innovation Awards held in China. One of the most successful municipalities of Turkey on social innovation and city works Mersin-Mezitli Municipality will host this workcamp. Coming to front with the social and economic support provided for disabled people, individuals with down syndrome, autistic individuals, children, elderly, and refugees, and with its sustainable environment projects, Mersin-Mezitli Municipality is taking its part at the first place of the factors that make the region attractive. Volunteers will have a chance to visit cultural and natural beauties of Mezitli/Mersin. Volunteers will enjoy their time with summer activities such as swimming, pool, beach etc. Mersin is one of the most attractive cities of Turkey for tourists.
