Work: The volunteers are going to work for a youth camp that the municipality is planning to organize annually. There will be young people from within and outside of Turkey. The campers will give artistic and cultural workshops (e.g.: music/percussions, theatre/pantomime, painting/graffiti, dance, photography, origami, yoga, juggling/poi -or any suggestions you might have) to teenagers between 14 and 17. Food and Accommodation: Cafeteria / Tents Location: Selcuk is a very popular coastal town in Izmir because it is one of the biggest open air museums in the world. It is mostly known for Ephesus ancient city that includes Artemis Temple: one of the 7 wonders of the world. It attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists every year. In addition to tourism, the locals are also engaged in production of cotton, olive, grape, peach and orange. Selcuk has 5 twinning cities in Austria, Germany, Macedonia, Georgia, and Greece. Language: English Terminal: Nearest airports; Izmir and Istanbul. Special requirements: Since the campers are expected to deliver workshops for teenagers, only young people with experience on their topic should apply and provide a motivation letter with their application.
